Courtesy of generous
donations, primarily from the National Heritage Lottery Fund and the York and
North Yorkshire Regional Authority Capital Development and Delivery Programme,
together with a number of other charities, St. Laurence church has been
refurbished, including building work on the tower, a kitchen, a disability
toilet, new heating and lighting and a flexible space for small meetings. The
work is now completed and services will resume on June
28th 2026 with Holy Communion at 10.00 am.
